Alpine Area Rally

Marlborough Airfield 19th November 2011

Great effort by the Nelson Aero Club at the Regional Rally in Marlborough.

Perfect weather led to perfect flying conditions and a good result for the Nelson team, coming 3rd in the Wigram Challenge Cup.  The competition was one of the closest in years, with only 3 points between the top 3 teams.

Special mention to Club Captain Graeme Kinzett who came 1st in both the Instrument Flying and Bombing.

Special thanks to Melissa for all her hard work in training the team and judging on the day.

Well done the Christian, Lesley and Chris; who were first-timers at the Competitions, and put in great performances.

Finally big thanks to Marlborough Aero Club, for hosting a wonderful event.
